By attending one of our CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry courses in Australia, you’ll learn everything about Workplace Health and Safety for the construction industry. By the end of the day you’ll be equipped with the basic knowledge to perform the following construction work tasks:
- Recognise and report construction hazards
- Understand the importance of hazard and risk control measures
- Identify different safety signs and symbols
- Choose the most appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including high-visibility vests and eye protection
- Demonstrate personal awareness in potentially dangerous situations

Eligibility Requirements For Our
White Card Training
There are no academic requirements to enrol in the CPCWHS1001 white card course. All students must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Reside in Australia
- Students must be 14 years old or older. (Please note: Students under 18 will be required to complete a Parental Consent Form)
- Be capable of effective verbal communication by asking questions to clarify instructions and pointing out a construction problem or hazard
- Possess basic English literacy skills to read and follow simple pictorial safety instructions and instructions written in English
- Possess basic numeracy skills
- Provide vaild identification as per the Evidence of Identity Requirements
- Hold a Unique Student Identifier number (USI)
On the day of our White Card course, students will require a photo to be taken which includes their head, neck & shoulders.
CPCWHS1001 White Card Course Delivery
Our white card courses in Australia are conducted entirely in-person via face-to-face, practical training. Our program lasts only one day, with a 6-hour session from 9am to 3pm. At the end of our face-to-face White Card class, students will complete classroom assessment tasks including a written assessment, oral & practical demonstrations.
Upon successful completion of this construction induction training, students are awarded their nationally recognised statement of attainment for the CPCWHS1001 unit, and issued a white card on the same day*.

Who Needs a White Card in Australia?
How Do I Get a Replacement White Card?
If your White Card has been lost, stolen, or damaged, you may be able to request a replacement card by contacting us. If you completed your course with us in SA or QLD, a replacement card fee of $50 applies.
– NT White Card students: If your white card is lost or damaged within 60 days of course completion, you will need to apply directly with the NT Government. If more than 60 days have passed, you will need to contact the RTO for a completion letter (available up to 4 months post-course). After 4 months, you’ll need to complete the CPCWHS1001 course again.
Please Note: Evidence of course completion can only be provided for a limited period following course completion. If records are no longer available, you may be required to complete the White Card course again.
